Why Should I Get Involved?
EDIN would not be able to continue running without the donation of your time and financial resources. Our volunteers help us host such events as Merrick’s Walk and the Celebrity Dance Challenge, and monetary donations allow us to continue to provide free educational funding in Metro-Atlanta public school systems.
How Can I Get Involved?
~Make a tax-deductible financial contribution~
Simply click “Donate Now” or the button to the right, or mail a tax-deductible donation to EDIN (600 Means Street, Suite 100, Atlanta, GA 30318). You can determine if your company would like to become a corporate sponsor, or if they have a matching funds program.
Email sita@myedin.org for a sponsorship menu and a list of the marketing benefits of EDIN sponsorship.
EDIN is a 501c3 corporation, and all donations are tax-deductible to the full extent of the law and will go towards eating disorder prevention and awareness.
Make an in-kind donation
As a nonprofit, we are always in need of office supplies (letter and legal size paper & ink for printers) and printing services.
EDIN can always use items which can be auctioned or raffled off at our fundraising events to help us raise money- from vacation homes to jewelry, clothing, services, and other special items.
These gifts allow us to spend our money directly on providing our programming to the community.
Volunteer your time
Click here to print out our volunteer application. Once you have completed the application, email it to Sita Wilson at sita@myedin.org or mail to EDIN (600 Means Street, Suite 100, Atlanta, GA 30318).
Bring a prevention program to your school or community
Our handbooks for elementary, middle, high schools, and mothers make it easy for you to get a program started in your school or community. Begin to think about all your circles of influence: mothers’ groups, your children’s sports team, ballet school, or gymnastics class, civic and corporate associations, media contacts, and small business contacts. We can help you host a small fundraiser for EDIN, such as a cocktail party, a luncheon for mothers, a sorority talk, a pool party, or even a car wash! Let us know what your interests are and we will send a representative from EDIN to address your group about topics that interest them.
